Email Protection Services
Email is still how most attacks arrive. We filter phishing, spam and malware before delivery, protect against invoice fraud and impersonation, and keep the encryption and archiving your compliance obligations require.
What it is
The attack that costs the most rarely contains malware
Ask most people to picture an email attack and they think of an infected attachment. Those still exist and a decent filter stops them. The expensive incidents look different: a short, plain message from what appears to be a director or a supplier, asking for an urgent payment or a change of bank details. No attachment, no link, nothing for antivirus to find.
Business email compromise works because it exploits trust and process, not software. Defending against it takes sender authentication that actually rejects spoofed mail, impersonation detection that recognises a lookalike domain, and staff who know what to verify before they pay an invoice.
Guardbyte deploys enterprise email security in front of your Microsoft 365 or on-premise mail, configures SPF, DKIM and DMARC correctly so nobody can send as you, and monitors what gets quarantined. When a credential does leak, our dark web monitoring and MFA controls close the loop.

Capabilities
What the service covers
Phishing & spam filtering
Messages are analysed before delivery using threat intelligence, reputation and content analysis, so most never reach the mailbox.
Impersonation & BEC defence
Lookalike domains, display-name spoofing and payment-fraud patterns are detected — the attacks that carry no malware at all.
Attachment & URL protection
Attachments are detonated in a sandbox and links are rewritten and checked at the moment of click, not just at delivery.
SPF, DKIM & DMARC
We configure and enforce sender authentication so criminals cannot send email that appears to come from your domain.
Encryption & DLP
Sensitive outbound mail is encrypted and scanned against policy, so personal and financial data does not leave by accident.
Archiving & continuity
Searchable archiving for compliance and eDiscovery, plus continuity so people can still send and receive if the mail platform goes down.
Managed by Guardbyte
Filters need someone reading what they caught
Every mail security platform quarantines legitimate mail sometimes, and lets something through sometimes. Both need a human.
01
Deployed in front of your mail
We route mail through the platform, migrate your existing rules and verify delivery before cutover, with no interruption to the business.
02
Authentication done properly
SPF, DKIM and DMARC are configured and moved to enforcement in stages, so spoofed mail is rejected without breaking legitimate senders.
03
Quarantine monitored
We review what is being held and released, tune the policy against false positives, and investigate anything that reaches a mailbox and should not have.
04
Reported and reviewed
Regular reporting on volumes, blocked threats and who is being targeted most — usually finance and the executive team.
FAQ
Questions we get asked
Microsoft 365 already includes protection. Why add more?
Built-in filtering handles bulk spam and known malware reasonably well. It is weaker on targeted phishing, impersonation and payment fraud, which are the attacks that cost real money. A dedicated layer also gives you sandboxing, click-time URL checking and proper reporting.
What is DMARC and do we need it?
DMARC tells receiving mail servers what to do with messages that claim to come from your domain but fail authentication. Without it, anyone can send email as your company. With it enforced, those messages are rejected — which protects your customers and your brand as much as your staff.
Will legitimate email get blocked?
Occasionally, which is why quarantine management is part of the service. We tune the policy over the first weeks and release anything held incorrectly, rather than leaving users to discover it themselves.
Does this stop invoice fraud?
It stops a large share of it — spoofed senders, lookalike domains and known fraud patterns. The rest is process: verifying bank-detail changes by phone. We cover that in security awareness training.
Can you keep an archive for compliance?
Yes. Searchable archiving with retention policies is available, which is what auditors and legal requests typically require.
