Dark Web Monitoring for Businesses
Your employees’ credentials are for sale long before anyone notices. We scan the dark web 24/7/365, verify what is real, and tell you which accounts to reset — before an attacker logs in with a valid password.
What it is
Stolen credentials are the quietest way into your network
Most breaches do not start with a clever exploit. They start with a password that leaked from someone else’s breach — a supplier portal, a personal shopping account, an old SaaS tool — and that an employee reused at work. Those credentials end up on dark web marketplaces and paste sites, where they are bought for a few euros and tried against corporate logins, VPNs and Microsoft 365 tenants.
The attacker does not need malware. They log in as a legitimate user, and your firewall, antivirus and email filter see nothing unusual. By the time the activity looks suspicious, they have already read mailboxes, mapped your file shares or staged a ransomware payload.
Dark web monitoring closes that gap. Guardbyte continuously scans criminal marketplaces, forums, paste sites and breach dumps for credentials and data tied to your domains, verifies each hit, and alerts your team with the exact accounts to reset. It turns an invisible risk into a short, specific action list.

Capabilities
What the service covers
Credential exposure monitoring
We track your company domains across dark web marketplaces, criminal forums, paste sites and known breach dumps, and flag every exposed email address, password or hash we find.
Verified, actionable alerts
Every hit is validated before it reaches you, so you are not chasing noise. Each alert names the account, the source of the leak and what to do next.
Compromise reports
Periodic reports show what was exposed, when, and how your exposure is trending — useful evidence for auditors, insurers and the board.
Executive & VIP protection
Directors and finance staff are targeted first. We watch their corporate and, where agreed, personal identifiers more closely.
Supply chain exposure
A leak at a supplier becomes your problem the moment shared credentials are involved. We can extend monitoring to key third-party domains.
Response, not just reporting
Because your environment is already managed by us, a confirmed exposure triggers a password reset, MFA enforcement and session revocation — not just an email.
Managed by Guardbyte
Monitoring is easy. Acting on it is the hard part.
Plenty of tools will send you a dark web alert. Guardbyte treats every confirmed exposure as an incident and closes it.
01
Scoped to your organisation
We register your domains, brands and key executives so monitoring matches your actual attack surface, not a generic keyword list.
02
Validated by analysts
Our SOC filters out recycled and false hits, so the alerts you receive are exposures that genuinely affect live accounts.
03
Acted on within the SLA
A confirmed exposure triggers password reset, MFA enforcement and session revocation across the affected accounts, coordinated with your IT team.
04
Reported and reviewed
Exposure trends feed into your regular security review, alongside endpoint, email and firewall data from the rest of your stack.
FAQ
Questions we get asked
How is dark web monitoring different from a breach-check website?
Free breach checkers tell you whether an email address appeared in a public breach, usually months late. A managed service scans continuously across private marketplaces and criminal forums, verifies each finding, and ties it to an action — resetting the account before the credential is used.
What do you actually monitor?
Your company domains and the email addresses under them, plus brand terms and, where agreed, key executives and critical suppliers. We look across dark web marketplaces, criminal forums, paste sites and breach dumps.
What happens when a credential is found?
You get an alert naming the account, the source and the date. Because Guardbyte manages your environment, we can also perform the reset, enforce MFA and revoke active sessions as part of the same incident.
Can you remove our data from the dark web?
No one can, and any provider that claims otherwise is overselling. Once data is published it cannot be recalled. What monitoring does is make the credential useless — by getting it changed before it is used.
Do we need this if we already have MFA?
MFA raises the bar significantly, but it is not absolute: attackers use MFA fatigue, session hijacking and SIM swapping. Knowing which passwords are already public lets you prioritise resets and spot accounts where MFA was never enforced.
